Understand the paper pattern
Before starting mock tests, confirm duration, section order, permitted navigation, question types and negative marking from the current bulletin. Use the same conditions when taking a full mock.
For historical reference, the official UG CLAT 2026 syllabus described a two-hour, 120-question test with a 0.25-mark penalty for a wrong answer. Verify the pattern for your intended cycle.
Track progress meaningfully
Mark a topic complete only when you can answer unfamiliar questions independently. Keep separate columns for concept revision, untimed practice, timed accuracy and the date for your next review.
